Cheshire West and Chester Council is the local authority of Cheshire West and Chester. It is a unitary authority, having the powers of a non-metropolitan county and district council combined. new job. For people facing redundancy or have been made redundant ,they can find our full employment support offer via our Emergency Response Portal. If they are looking for work and want some help, they can submit their CV through our Job Matching Register located on this page. By doing so, they will be able to get access to a Work Zone Employment mentor.
Our mentors can:
Help individuals to shape their CV, learn job search skills and prepare for interviews
Support them to access tools which will assess their skills and identify any gaps
Broker links to local recruiting employers and work trials
Broker links to specialist careers guidance
Sign post them to information on benefits
Sign post them to health support available
Provide advice on starting up a business/ going self-employed
Redundancy Response modules
Employees can access our Redundancy Toolkit. This is a 6-module free online learning programme which provides all the information needed to help individuals to prepare and search for their next job.
You will need to scroll down and select the Employment Support section and then click on Redundancy Toolkit. These modules can be accessed any time, can be followed in any order and will help employees to prepare the best job application.
Employees can also access our online Job Club where they will be guided by an Employment Mentor through the process of preparing and searching for work. To enrol on our online Job Club, please email: email@example.com
To Upskill and/or retrain, you can access Adult Education opportunities through our 4 Work Zones in Chester, Ellesmere Port, Northwich and Winsford. Please take a look at the RESOURCES tab for further information.
