Welcome to careers section of The Royal Wolverhampton School. As a school we strive to ensure each and every student has enriching opportunities to gain first hand careers experience that prepares them for life beyond. Students will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of careers through PSHE, curriculum lessons, assemblies and trips. Throughout the year there will be opportunities for students to work with employers through activities such as workshops, a careers fair and lunch time talks.
The aim of our School Careers policy is develop the skills, attitudes and abilities of our students to enable them to make effective decisions about their future education, training and employment. Young people’s careers are forged out of their experience, progress and achievements in learning and work. All our students have access to a planned programme of Careers Education which provides opportunities to develop and apply the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to make realistic career decisions.
The Royal School provides an ‘in-house’ careers advice and guidance service which is staffed by an experienced and fully qualified careers adviser.
