This is a new and flexible job description. The aim of this position is to help inform the public what Social Care employment actually entails. We are in need of changing the Social care image and with the help of volunteers it is our quest to do so over the coming years.
The idea behind the programme is to recruit volunteers to shadow core team members and admin staff – seeing what setting up and managing a care package looks like in real life.
The volunteers will then spend time with clients and family members discussing just what care means to them. This will give the volunteers a good, all round idea of the Domiciliary care sector and they will be asked to help with recruitment fayres and events.
