Asset Manager (Manchester or Stansted)

As Assets Manager, you will be responsible for establishing asset standards, maintenance standards and infrastructure solutions for specific asset groups, across all airports (with a particular focus on Manchester and Stansted). This will also include supporting the development of investment plans that support growth, service delivery and efficiency to deliver a high quality of service for our customers and allows us to work towards our ambition for net zero carbon airports.

You will take an active role in leading colleagues across all teams in our airports to embrace new technology and bring innovation into asset development plans, this will require you to work collaboratively with Airport, Capital Delivery and IT teams.

Principle Accountabilities will include:

Develop, prioritise and deliver asset management strategies and standards to support Manchester / Stansted and across the group.
Develop and own the asset criticality, performance and condition models for this asset group working collaboratively with the operational and maintenance teams to ensure data sources are reliable, accurate and complete. Use these models to inform maintenance plans and investment decisions that focus on whole life cost and optimising value for the group.
Build whole life Asset Management Plans for this asset group that inform business planning (1, 3, 5 and 25 year plans) and deliver agreed asset performance and regulatory compliance.
Taking an active role in harnessing the expertise across the group to share and implement best practice and create innovative solutions, bringing colleagues together from other teams.
Supporting the capital project delivery process from identification and prioritisation of business needs, through the development and selection of solutions and creation of business cases. You will then sponsor project through to implementation and benefit realisation.
Build collaborative relationships across airport Operational directorates, Capital Delivery, IT, Group Procurement and Finance.
Provide insight into industry best practice, technology advances and how these may provide value for the group.

5 years + Asset Management experience – either through qualification or extensive knowledge in an infrastructure sector
Desirable – Degree / professionally qualified
Commercial acumen
Risk management
Financial appraisal
Ability to translate airport strategies and objectives into asset plans and solutions
Experience in developing creative solutions to transform services and department
Leadership experience with the ability to develop the capabilities of a team and identify learning & development opportunities, with strong collaborative working across multi-disciplined teams across an organisation
